1) yesterday , Mr Millis (write) an email when he (hear) somebody at the door
2) he ( go) to the door and (see) his wife who (cry)
3) he (say) : « i want to get a divorce » but she (refuse)
4) then he ( sit down ) at his desk and (tell) her to go
5) he (begin) writing again when she ( shoot) him

Bonjour
1- Yesterday, Mr Millis was writing an email when he heard .......
2- He went to the door and saw his wife who was crying.
3- He said : "I want to get a divorce" but se refused.
4- Then he sat down at his desk and told her to go.
5- He was begining writing again whe she shot him.
On utilise le prétérit be+V-ing lorsque une action est en train de s'accomplir et le preteriit simple pour une action soudaine (qui interrompt la 1ère, ou qui n'a pas de suite.
Prétérit simple = action soudaine, brève,terminée
prétérit Be+ V-ing = action en train de se faire
